Job Purpose:

The Team Lead – Corporate Banking is responsible for managing a team of Relationship Managers and driving business growth within the corporate banking segment. This role involves developing and maintaining strong client relationships with large local corporates and multinational companies, ensuring high-quality credit portfolios, and achieving revenue and profitability targets.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Relationship Management

  • Lead the origination, structuring, and execution of corporate banking products and solutions for large local and multinational corporate clients.

  • Develop strategic client plans to increase wallet share and cross-sell products including loans, trade finance, cash management, treasury, and investment solutions.

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with C-suite executives and decision-makers.

2. Team Management

  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of Relationship Managers (RMs) to achieve individual and team targets.

  • Provide guidance on deal structuring, pricing, risk mitigation, and compliance.

  • Monitor team performance and conduct regular pipeline reviews and client meetings.

3. Credit & Risk Management

  • Oversee the credit proposal process including financial analysis, credit structuring, risk assessment, and approval documentation.

  • Ensure timely renewal and review of credit facilities, and maintain asset quality.

  • Work closely with Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Operations to ensure adherence to internal and regulatory standards.

4. Strategic Planning & Reporting

  • Contribute to the development of annual business plans and budgets for the Corporate Banking department.

  • Track performance metrics, prepare reports, and present to senior management.

  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments.


Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

  • 8–12 years of experience in corporate banking, with at least 3 years in a team leadership or senior RM role.

  • Strong knowledge of corporate credit, financial analysis, and banking products.

  • Proven track record in client acquisition, relationship management, and revenue generation.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Fluency in English and Vietnamese (both written and spoken).
