Our client who is an MNC in Agriculture industry, is looking for a Trading Manager in Soluble Coffee. This position is in charge of spearheading the downstream trading initiative and driving platform performance to achieve sales efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Accountabilities:
• Identify, create and execute trading opportunities within the downstream sector of the coffee market, focusing on but not limited to instant coffee and instant coffee products.
• Be responsible for client acquisition and retention, developing taste profiles, blends and products customized to each market.
• In collaboration with the Green Coffee Sales team, create and manage downstream business in key destinations markets, notably around Asia.
• Establish and manage a regular and reliable supply base of manufacturing facilities notably in Asia capable of soluble coffee supply of products & services either through direct contracts or tolling agreements.
• Operate within established and communicated risk (market and counter-party) and resource use limits.
• Monitor and analyze market developments including supply capacity and utilization, demand trends, tariff environments and government regulations.
• Oversee the business supply chain to ensure efficient and effective execution, collaborative relationships between suppliers and customers.
Key Requirements:
• Proven significant experiences in operating similar experience within the downstream coffee sector.
• Demonstrable track record of innovation and entrepreneurship.
• Downstream coffee products and product developments as well as B2B business are needed.
• Experience in food ingredients is a plus.
• Legal and regulations understanding is advantageous.
• High level of both fluency and proficiency in English.
• Capable of functioning with limited supervision; results/ goals focused.
• Able to create rapport with suppliers and customers; personable and reliable.
• Innovative and able to spot tangible market opportunities.
• Knowledge of business development and supply chain understanding.
• Knowledge of international trade rules & regulations, notably Asia-Pacific market.
• Computer proficiency (of common business software).
• Methodical and quantitative approach to data analysis.
• Good team player, team management is advantageous.
• Open-minded, resilient, self-disciplined and diligent.
• Ability to act and perform successfully in a fast-moving and high-pressure environment.
• Flexible and responsive to changes in business demands.
• Willing to travel extensively within the AsiaPac region.
