About the Role:
  • Our Client, a Vietnam-based logistics provider specializing in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and supply chain solutions for domestic and international clients, is looking for Deputy Director of Business Development.

1. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Take primary responsibility for expanding the market for import-export services, transportation, and freight operations to achieve revenue targets.
  • Conduct market research and propose business strategies to differentiate the company's services from competitors, attract major partners, and strengthen market share nationwide.
  • Explore and develop new markets to increase revenue while building and maintaining relationships with existing customers.
  • Establish strong partnerships with senior management of partner companies and closely monitor customer trends and behaviors.
  • Improve contract quotation standards and business workflows, refine the quotation and product systems.
  • Organize and establish standard operating procedures to ensure seamless operations across the company.
  • Build team structures, manage personnel, and oversee all activities of the market development department.
  • Conduct employee training and development programs, motivate and inspire staff to enhance performance.
  • Address any issues arising during company operations.
  • Be accountable to the Board of Directors for the company’s business performance.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Board of Directors, adhering to and implementing company policies.

2. AUTHORITY:
  • Manage subordinates and perform specialized tasks within the scope of the role.
  • Be provided with equipment as per regulations to meet job requirements.
  • Participate in planning and developing proposals to improve the efficiency of the department/unit/company.
  • Other benefits as specified by the company.

3. REPORTING:
  • Report directly to the Director on a monthly basis.
  • Immediately report any arising issues beyond the scope of authority.

Requirements
  • Fluent in Chinese; good communication skills; experience in customs clearance, import-export, or logistics is an advantage. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position. 
  • Ability to work under high pressure. 
  • Willingness to travel and frequently work on business trips. 
  • Strong customer service mindset, excellent communication skills, and sharp, intelligent behavior. 
  • Proficiency in communication, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to synthesize, build, analyze, and evaluate issues effectively.
