JOB PURPOSE
The Education Counsellor B2B will play a pivotal role in driving student recruitment efforts by developing and maintaining relationships with educational agents and other stakeholders. This position will focus on creating strategic partnerships that enhance the university’s visibility and attract prospective students. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a deep understanding of the education landscape, and a passion for promoting higher education opportunities to support recruit English, Foundation, Higher Education & Post Graduate programmes at British University Vietnam on annual basis.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Agent Development:
- Identify, recruit, and onboard new educational agents and partners.
- Provide training and resources to agents to ensure they are well-equipped to promote the university’s programs effectively.
2. Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing agents and recommenders.
- Conduct regular meetings and presentations, trainings to agents to update them on program offerings, admission processes, and university news.
3. Lead Generation:
- Collaborate with agents to create and implement lead generation strategies.
- Monitor and analyze agent performance to optimize recruitment efforts and identify areas for improvement.
4. Market Research:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive offerings in the education sector.
- Utilize insights to tailor recruitment strategies and improve agent engagement.
5. Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with the Student Recruitment Team to ensure a seamless transition of leads and effective follow-up strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional materials and campaigns targeting prospective students.
- Work closely with Event team to organize events for agents, involving agents & prospect customers in the University events such as Open Day, Experience Day, Mini Info Day, etc
6. Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare regular reports on agent performance, recruitment metrics, and market insights.
- Use data to inform decision-making and enhance recruitment strategies.
7. General
- To provide high quality of customer care and services to potential prospects, enquiries, students as well as other internal and external stakeholders.
- To prepare and submit periodic reports requested by Line manager.
- To support other Team in SR-BD Department in key events to enhance customer experience
- To undertake any other assignments as delegated by Line manager.
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM ACADEMIC/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline & preferably in Marketing or Business Management
RELATED EXPERIENCE
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in educational recruitment, sales, or business development, preferably in the higher education sector.
- Proven track record of developing partnerships and achieving recruitment targets.
- Having relationships with local and international Agents is preferred.
- Candidates having both B2B & B2C sales experience is a plus
COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES)
- Excellent selling skills, with a strong sales aptitude, customer focus and relationship building
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Good in planning and especially in execution
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Vietnamese and English
- Computer literacy in MS office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- Ability to work under pressure, individually or in team, availability to travel in Vietnam.
