Core Responsibilities
- Must be skilled at managing a P+L including budgeting, forecasting & reporting.
- Primary responsibility will be to drive sales, manage standard operating procedures, and direct aggressive operating plans.
- Expected to build a strong sales and operations team, motivating and leading staff while optimizing costs, increasing revenues, and improving profitability.
- They must have proven management skills to drive the operational growth and ensure profitability.
- They must have a proven track record in business development and demonstrated leadership skills.
- They must be a strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Strong relationships with Ocean and Air Carriers/Co-loaders to procure competitive rates.
- Ideally, they will have the ability to motivate people through collaborative skills.
- Create and manage the branch's strategic plan.
- Develop and maintain best business practices.
- Execute monthly executive summaries for leadership.
- Manage day-to-day operations with KPI metrics.
- Clearly understand goals, policies, and procedures of the company.
- Ability to motivate, develop and support a team through cultural change.
Job requirements
- Exposure in sales/business development with min 10+ years of working experience in Freight Forwarding , with a priority on Air or Sea freehand sales development.
- In-depth local market knowledge.
- Good command in English.
