Objective:
  • As the Operations Manager overseeing the Commercial & Engineering Business in energy solutions, you will lead operational and design management. Your role is pivotal in ensuring operational efficiency, financial strength, and adherence to controls.
Key responsibilities:
  • Establish and develop the Commercial & Engineering Business in Vietnam to align with energy solutions objectives.
  • Monitor key metrics, evaluate performance, and take corrective actions to exceed customer expectations.
  • Contribute to talent development, retention, and team growth through effective people planning.
  • Lead project execution, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and high-quality standards.
  • Manage projects within budget, time, and quality parameters to achieve favorable financial results.
  • Conduct annual and periodic reporting of ongoing projects.
  • Facilitate collaboration across various business units for effective resolution.
  • Navigate multinational culture, leveraging broad international entity experience.
  • Lead the transition to a culture of continuous improvement and profitable growth.
  • Develop and champion vision and strategy, empowering and engaging team members.
  • Demonstrate commitment to meeting the needs of internal and external customers.
What distinguishes you:
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering; post-graduation is advantageous.
  • 15 - 20 years of experience in project-based heavy engineering with exposure to multinational environments.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Profound knowledge of project methodologies and technical project mastery.
  • Willingness to be hands-on when necessary.
  • In-depth understanding of market trends, industry dynamics, and competitors in the energy sector.
  • Familiarity with cultural differences in design office management across Europe, the US, and Vietnam.
  • Strong leadership, operations management, and networking skills.
  • Fluent in English.
